Software Engineer – Monsha 2025

Job Type: On-site
Job Nature: Full-time

Founded in 2024, Monsha is on a mission to simplify the “behind-the-scenes” work for teachers. We’re building an AI-powered platform that helps K-12 schools and teachers across the globe reduce burnout and improve productivity while supporting high-quality instruction.

Our platform puts teachers in control. With Monsha, they can plan curricula, prep lessons, create teaching resources, and track student progress — all in one place. The platform builds on each teacher’s context over time and integrates with their existing workflow to support day-to-day teaching needs. This teacher-first approach is already embraced by over 30,000 educators in the US, UK, Canada, Australia, and beyond, with organic growth of 40% month-over-month.

Monsha is proud to be backed by LAUNCH Accelerator, led by renowned Silicon Valley investor Jason Calacanis (early backer of Uber, Calm, Robinhood, Trello). With early investment and world-class mentorship, we’re building a global solution for the world’s 93 million teachers, from Bangladesh!

Monsha was founded by a second-time founder (Bohubrihi, acquired by Shikho) and a former Optimizely engineer, both graduates of BUET.

What We’re Looking For

You’ll be our third engineer and the fourth team member overall. You won’t just write code; you’ll help shape the product, team, and culture from the ground up.

As a Software Engineer at Monsha, you will be expected to:

  • Co-own the product: ideate, design, build, ship, iterate.
  • Be a core teammate, not a gun for hire.
  • Adapt quickly to evolving AI engineering practices and ideas.
  • Prioritize accountability, ownership, and the thrill of fast-paced building over stability or work-life balance. You’ll get uncomfortable, and that’s a feature, not a bug.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript.
  • Hands-on experience with React and Node.js.
  • Solid fundamentals in relational databases like PostgreSQL.
  • Strong interest in the application of LLMs in a modern web application.
  • 3+ years of experience (which can be overlooked if you’re the builder we need).

Most importantly, comfortable asking the ‘why’ questions — with opinions on the ‘when’ and initiative for the ‘how’.

Preferred Qualifications

  • A builder mindset — someone who can own their product.
  • Strong opinions on product development with high attention to details.
  • Experience with frontend frameworks (React, Next.js) as a core strength, not just familiarity.
  • Experience with LLM concepts (APIs, Agents, Memory, Workflow).
  • Moderate understanding of cloud (AWS/GCP) infrastructures.

What You Get

  • Competitive+ salary (You tell us, we’ll try to match if you’re the perfect fit)
  • Opportunity to work at a US-based, Silicon Valley–backed company with primarily US users — and go head-to-head with funded companies in Silicon Valley, based in Dhaka.
  • Chance to build and add to a global product from the ground up.

The Setup

  • This is a full-time role.
  • We prefer working on-site for faster iteration, tighter feedback loops, and stronger team chemistry.
  • Our base is at Moar, Dhanmondi 27 — we like the energy, and you’d love it too.

How to Apply

  • Email adel@monsha.ai with your resume.
    • Step 1: Use the subject line: Applying for Software Engineer Position.
    • Step 2: In the body, mention the project or experience you are most proud of and why.
    • Step 3: Don’t forget to attach your resume.
